Why are Conservative Republicans attacking:
- The poor, the needy, the underprivileged, the under-resourced, the under-represented;
- Those seeking more education;
- Religious freedoms.
It is very unfortunate that the
Conservative Religious Right:
- Does not see hypocrisy of demanding that the United States of America be Christian nation and their ridicule, fear, and rabidity against Muslim nations in the Middle East.
- Choose to ignore or de-prioritize the portions of The Bible that preach tolerance, love, understanding, education, financial and resource assistance and support to those in need, non-judgment, and general kindness, among other lessons.
- Feel justified in and thoroughly enjoy attacking others because of their religious or non-religious beliefs.
- Want to interpret the Constitution of the United States literally, but not The Bible, by which they purport to live their lives.
- Demand, claim, and believe that God endorses them and their actions above those of others.
The Conservative Right abhors
government “meddling” in their affairs, but they raucously demand to meddle in
the affairs of the government.
Conservative religious institutions and
politicians abhor and loudly decry any actions by the government that they deem
as meddling in their affairs, but they raucously and angrily demand to meddle
in the affairs of government, often with the goal of having the power to meddle
in the affairs of other religious institutions.
The desire by GOP candidates to appeal
to the Conservative Religious Right is extremely unfortunate, as religious and
political persecution were two of the big motivating factors that led Europeans
to settle en masse in the Americas during the 17th century.
It is a shame that the Conservative
Right has been able to turn religious profiling and persecution, racial
profiling, and policies of non-cooperation/non-compromise into “matters of
national security.” They seem to be completely unable to understand and learn
from history.
What is the use of calling the
Conservative’s Right’s on their shit if they and their audiences don’t care
that they are spouting lies and inaccuracies?
If they get to say that Obama is not a
Christian, then I get to say that they are not true Christians as they have no
understanding of what being a Christian means.
Thoughts on International Policy:
International concerns with the seemingly simplest solutions become the most contentious because of politics, positions, and special interests.
