They failed Lebron.

A failure of the referees, a failure of the athletic training staff of the Miami Heat, and a failure of the coaching staff.

Failure of the referees to stop play. Failure of the referees to call out the athletic training staff as Lebron was reeling and struggling on the floor.

Failure of the athletic training staff to give Lebron a concussion test. You can’t trust athletes to take themselves out of games. They want to play, so they’re going to lie/stretch the truth/fumble towards whatever will get them back onto the floor. And apparently you can’t trust your athletic training staff to give the care that players need. It really surprises me that after all the focus on and care about concussions on the high school and college levels of basketball, as well as in football, that the staff did not give him a concussion test.

Failure of the coaching staff for not taking Lebron out of the game.
